And they just keep coming........and I only planted 6 seedlings. I took a drive through our little community and left them on friends doorsteps. It feels so good to share organic produce just wish our chickens would share some more eggs with us. Janet is consistent but the other 3 could lift there game. Their getting better now we let them free range through the whole garden instead of the acre they are accustomed too!!! I love looking out the kitchen window to find the chickens and 3 dogs all sharing the same space.
This is Jermaine, he (hmmm she is the biggest and darkest) , they were once the Jackson 5 till Blanket died. Now we have 4 Janet, Latoya, Jermaine and of course Michael who happens to be half white half brown in colour and is a very erratic chicken, a little nutty but very entertaining all the same!
P.S Imagine the void in response from the vet receptionist when I told her the name of the sick chicken was Blanket!

Poor Blanket. But your chickens look like they're having a wonderful life and i'm sure Blanket was no exception. She also had the wonderful honour of being named Blanket, which has gone down in history as my favourite name for a chicken ever! Perhaps any pet. You've tied with Ricky Gervais who had a cat named 'Colin' which also made me smile. Not sure why..
