Waiting for me to attack with my cutter is this pile of loveliness. I have been commissioned to make a king single patchwork quilt with a couple of decorative pillows to match. I chose these fabrics after receiveing this email........
Dear Kathryn,
I am after a quilt which will follow my daughter through the various
stages of her life - something that is not too 'little girl', but not too adult
either. I like green and pink and beige/grey - something classy and not
too girly in muted colours - maybe with some highlights. My daughter really
too girly in muted colours - maybe with some highlights. My daughter really
loves butterfly's and birds. You did a quiltin that scheme which I liked called
Forest Sage. Her bedroom is white with a white sleigh bed etc.

I also felt drawn to add in fabrics with purple hues, I suggested this to my client and she went on to tell me that her daughter's middle name is Violet - PERFECT! So this quilt is named after the bird called "Purple Martin"
